The Region 16 BOE administers all education- and school-related policies and procedures including teacher and administrator contracts, curriculum review, preparation of annual regional school district budget, and school building renovations, additions, and maintenance. The Board comprises four members from Beacon Falls and four members from Prospect.
 
Meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. either at the District Office or one of the schools.  The July, August, November, and December meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month.
