“I was born and raised in Prospect and my husband, Mark, and I chose to raise our family here. I have a deep love for Prospect and am committed to its continued financial stability and the preservation of our small town character and community values. As a Town Council member for the past 22 years, I have safeguarded the finances of our town and always kept the well-being of Prospect and its citizens as the primary focus of every initiative and decision. It's time to take Prospect to the next level of modernization, efficiency and responsible development. I ask for your vote of support, Row A, on November 3 . As Prospect’s Mayor, I am ready to write the next great chapter of Prospect's history."

As a Town Council member for 22 years, I have been an integral participant in developing the town budget and keeping expenditures reasonable, evaluating major financial commitments, approving transfers, negotiating land sales and purchases, reviewing contracts and writing resolutions.
  • Chair of Land Use Subcommittee: Successfully negotiated purchases and acquisitions of properties including Firehouse land, multiple parcels on Center Street and several tracts of Open Space
  • Chair of Ordinance Subcommittee: Elderly Tax Relief, Blight Ordinance, Standards for Road Repair, Police Presence at Construction Sites, Reorganization of the Naugatuck Valley Council of Governments, Powers and Duties of Water Pollution Control Authority
  • Open Space Study Committee: Primary author of Prospect's first Open Space Plan as an addendum to the Prospect Plan of Conservation and Development
  • Liaison to Open Space Purchase Advisory Committee
  • Liaison to Region 16 for contract negotiation
  • Active supporter of quality education for Region 16 students

GRAVELINE GET NOD TO RUN

"Theresa's specific involvements with government cover 22 years of serving on the Town Council, with achievements in the development of Prospect ordinances on Elderly Tax Credits, Standards for Road Repair, and the development of the Anti-Blight Commission.
Theresa also served as the primary author of the Prospect Open Space Plan. Theresa is absolutely capable of managing the business of Prospect, and is the best candidate for the next Mayor of Prospect. "
