(7 members, 2-year term; appointed by Town Council;)
The Mayor serves as the director of the EMAC and the Town Council appoints members. The council's powers and responsibilities are defined in Connecticut General Statutes.

 
Qualifications:
  • Possess special training or network connections within the realm of Emergency Management
  • Required to take a basic FEMA course on organization, responsibilities, and management.  Further FEMA training is encouraged
  • Required to take the 4-hour State of CT Emergency Operation Computer course to become certified
  • Expected to respond to Emergency activation when the Mayor calls
 
Meetings are held on the 4th Thursday of each month.
