Jeffrey LaMontagne

His varied public service experience gives him the ability to objectively evaluate taxpayer concerns. He is currently serving on the Inland Wetlands Commission and Certified Emergency Response Team (CERT), and is a former member of the Emergency Management Advisory, Economic Development, and Greater Waterbury Transit District Commissions. 
  • Holds a BA in Liberal Studies and a Paralegal Certificate
  • Past member of the Emergency Management Advisory Committee, the Economic Development Commission, and the Greater Waterbury Transit District Commission
  • Currently serving on the Inland Wetland Commission and Prospect’s Certified Emergency Response Team (CERT)
  • Lifelong resident of Prospect

Having served on the Board of Assessment Appeals for 6 years, Peter has demonstrated his commitment to upholding the essential right of all taxpayers to a fair hearing and the consistent, unbiased evaluation of each appeal. 
  • BS in Biology/Chemistry, MS in Chemical Engineering,  MS in Software Engineering
  • Recently retired from IBM after a long career in consulting
  • Currently serving on the Board of Assessment Appeals
  • Established and coached Prospect’s first boys indoor soccer teams; also coached baseball and basketball in Prospect
  • Lifelong resident of Prospect
  • Married with 4 children and 1 grandchild
