Betty Bajek |
Betty Bajek moved to Prospect with her husband into the Regency at Prospect community twelve years ago. She is retired from corporate life and now volunteers her time to make her adopted hometown a better place to live. She has put her leadership skills to work for the Greater Waterbury Transit District, where she serves as Chair of the board of directors, and the Friends of the Prospect Public Library, Inc. Betty co-chaired the Friends' wildly successful 2019 book sale and was instrumental in securing the location for its bookstore at the Prospect Community Center. Betty also volunteers for Chesprocott Health District, where she has been involved with the flu and COVID-19 vaccine clinics. She is also a past chair of the Prospect Democratic Town Committee.
Betty possesses a solid business background with experience in managing large- and small-scale projects, multimillion-dollar budgets, domestic and international staffs, and a reputation for exceeding expectations. She holds a BS degree in Elementary Education from Western Connecticut State University and was inducted into Kappa Delta Pi, the national honor society in education. If elected, she will focus her energy and talents on getting the town's fiscal house in order and ensuring that residents are kept informed of issues. |
